Steve Smith busted out a YAC-heavy pass play that set up Carolina’s only score of the game. The Panthers’ offense, however, got nothing after that play, which is why it was only a field goal.
Short passes are killing the Panthers’ D right now. Chris Simms is 19 for 25 for 132 yards, and for the most part, he keeps the Bucs moving the ball. Three holding penalties on the Panthers’ defensive linemen aren’t helping.
